What wall color works best in playroom?

I bought the IKEA Trofast storage units with red, lime green, sky blue, and yellow cubbies. The problem is, I want a playroom for my girls that has hints of femininity but not completely girlie. Lots of people have been saying white, but that's too plain for me and I have NO vision or interior ideas whatsoever so white would be fine if I had a vision of how to accentuate the room with art pieces, etc. There is some artwork from Pottery Barn that I like, but that is all I have to work with. I was thinking buggy theme like, ladybugs and butterflies? My mom is sewing a window seat pillow that has 4 diff. colors of green with shades of pink in it that has bugs on it. I have NO idea what to paint the walls. It is a small room with one large window and a small closet, so no dark color suggestions please. Thank you!

I saw a design that I liked very much...it was a light blue background, with some spots of many colors like greens, yellows, oranges and more. If you get the picture, it looks stylish and fit for a girl's playroom.

Dorm decor? Need help please.?

I'll be starting college this fall. I've spoken to my roomate and we decided to go with a black and white themed room with colorful accents. I chose to go with red accents but she has green. I personally don't believe that the two accent color will look good together. What do you think? Any suggestions on what we can do to make it work? We can't choose different colors because we've already bought colored items (coffee makers, irons, throw pillows, ect.)

I think it would be cool and interesting if your side of the room had red accents while her side had green.
